Windows Server - Key Activation Guide
- Download your Windows Server version from Microsoft’s website:
- You will have to register for a trial in order to get access to ISO images.
- Pick your preferred language version and download the ISO image.
- Copy the required files to a DVD or a USB flash drive and perform the installation.
- Choose the edition you bought as the installation option.
- To activate the full version of Windows Server, after installation run Command Prompt as administrator and perform the following command:
For Standard edition:
DISM /Online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /AcceptEula /ProductKey:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
For Datacenter edition:
DISM /Online /Set-Edition:ServerDatacenter /AcceptEula /ProductKey:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
(Replace "xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx", with the product key that was sent to you)
